Regional Chair Update

The Queensland Regional Council has been receiving regular updates on the status of the key strategic initiatives currently in progress with CA ANZ.

As Chair of the Council, I have the opportunity to regularly participate in transformation update workshops with other Council and Leadership Committee Chairs from around Australia, New Zealand and our overseas markets.

These workshops provide a good foundation for the conversations I am having with many members as I go around the state.

It is fair to say that there are a lot of exciting projects underway, from the renewal of the CA Program and what it is likely to contain in order to continue delivering value and expertise to the Chartered Accountants of the future; to the development of a new member ‘dashboard’ – soon to be piloted by selected members groups for usability – which will be our new landing page within the next 12 months.

This ‘hub’, accessible on all mobile devices, will provide members with an at-a-glance status of our CPD, connect members across the world in a virtual community to allow sharing of ideas, offer an opportunity for CA ANZ to ’crowdsource’ input into their advocacy work, as well as be the central point for updating our details and paying subscriptions.

I look forward to continuing to update members on these initiatives as we visit all of our WinterTax and Super School locations until early September, where we will also catch up with members at networking events. Please reach out to Penny and the team in Brisbane if you are keen to find out more on any of the other initiatives, or to attend any of the events in your region.
