Regional Manager Update

Practice Forum is coming to Brisbane

To our members and your colleagues in small and medium-sized practice, get ready for Practice Forum – a full day of practical updates from experts in the field, offering insights on the use of technology in your practice, getting the leadership and culture balance right, developing new client-centred services, as well as a critical update from the ATO and TPB watchdog, the Inspector-General of Taxation. A day of not-to-be-missed updates, and brilliant opportunity to build 6 hours of CPE into a great networking experience. Have I convinced you yet?!

Queensland Office of State Revenue

Also in the next few weeks members around the Bundaberg and Sunshine Coast regions have the opportunity to connect with the Queensland Office of State Revenue in some seminars that they are holding on payroll tax matters. These seminars are likely to be rolled out across a number of locations in the state during the rest of the year.

Bundaberg (1 May) Sunshine Coast (3 May)

For information on other events and webinars offered by Queensland government agencies to support small and regional business, I encourage you to bookmark the Queensland Business events website.

In other news, you may be aware that there are some exciting strategic initiatives currently underway to create a re-designed CA Program which will be fit for the future, to build an engaged knowledge and professional network that responds to your personalised digital profile, to develop a program which will enable our members to build their profile and engage in the innovation and start-up community – and ultimately to provide our members with a greater member experience. Our Queensland Regional Council under 2018 Chair Richard Wanstall FCA, are keen to hear from members with their input and suggestions into these strategic initiatives, so please do contact us at
