Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand joins our members across the Commonwealth and our nations to pay tribute to Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. It is a great loss, and Her Majesty will be remembered for her loyalty, selflessness, and service.

On behalf of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, established under Royal Charter in 1928, we pay our respects and pay tribute to her strength and dedication to public service.

The Royal Charter is the document that formally establishes Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand including why we exist, and how we operate. The first Charter was granted in 1928 and has since been succeeded by further Charters as the organisation has grown and developed over time.

The current Royal Charter was granted on 26 November 2014 with the joining of NZICA and ICAA.
