In brief

  • Monash University invite any female CAs participate in this valuable and insightful research
  • Participants will receive a $50 Coles Myer voucher, or they can choose to donate the voucher to a charity

The study is an opportunity for our female members, who work in accounting firms to provide a unique perspective on the effectiveness of practices to support women in accounting firms and the relationship between supporting practices, psychological and workplace outcomes for women accountants.

Supporting practices, like mentorship programs, women's networks and targeted organisational communications have been developed and implemented in accounting firms to address female marginalization within a male dominated workplace. While supporting practices require substantial human and financial resources, a question as to whether they contribute to an environment where women can flourish and overcome challenges remains uncertain.

This is an opportunity for our female CAs, who work in accounting firms to provide a unique perspective on the effectiveness of practices to support women in accounting firms.

The Monash University study seeks to contribute data about how women are affected both psychologically and practically through their involvement with any number of these practices in the workplace.

Monash University invite any female CAs working in accounting firms and practices in Australia to participate in this valuable and insightful research.
