- The Government have allocated an additional $40 million of funding to support businesses via the Regional Business Partners Network COVID-19 Business Advisory Fund
- Available funding varies by region, but eligible business owners can access up to $5,000 per business from the COVID-19 Business Advisory Fund
- Depending on business needs, funding can be used with a range of registered service providers
- Eligible CAs can also register as COVID-19 Business Support Service Providers
An additional $40 million of funding has been allocated to the Regional Business Partners Network (RBPN) COVID-19 Business Advisory Fund to support businesses through the COVID-19 pandemic. This is in addition to the initial $15 million invested during lockdown which was exhausted within weeks of its launch.
The Fund is open to New Zealand GST registered businesses with 100 or less full-time equivalent staff members. It is administered by the RBPN, who provide eligible businesses with access to funding of between $1,00 and $5,000 each to be used with registered Service Providers. The funding can be used for professional advisory services such as HR, health and wellbeing, business continuity, cashflow, financial management, strategy and digital capability.
The funding per business varies by region, with some regions offering vouchers of a lower value to ensure the finite fund is available to support as many different businesses as possible.
To date, more than 6,200 businesses have benefitted from professional advisory services funded via the COVID-19 business advisory fund. An additional 4,600 have also registered to take part.
The Government says the additional $40 million funding will help maintain this momentum, and provide much needed support to New Zealand businesses as they navigate their way through the COVID-19 pandemic.
