Sue Sheldon CNZM FCA appointed Chair of Regenerate Christchurch
Sue Sheldon CNZM FCA CFInst.D, has been appointed Board Chair of the earthquake rebuild organisation Regenerate Christchurch. Sue is the former president of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants, has chaired the boards of Freightways, Chorus, National Provident Fund and NZ Global Women, and been a director of numerous organisations, including the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Telecom, Meridian Energy, Contact Energy and Girl Guiding New Zealand.
University of Otago appoints Malcolm Wong FCA to Council
Malcolm Wong FCA, founding partner of Dunedin accountancy firm Cook, North & Wong has been appointed to the University of Otago Council. Malcolm is the immediate past Chair of the Dunedin Shanghai Association and has been Chair of the Dunedin Chinese Gardens Trust since 2008.
Diana Puketapu FCA joins to the board of Napier Port
Diana Puketapu (Ngāti Porou) FCA has joined the board of Napier Port as a non-executive director. Diana has a background in commercial, iwi and sports governance, and is currently on the board of the New Zealand Olympic Committee. She has previously served as a director for Auckland Council Investments Ltd and the World Masters Games 2017.
Air New Zealand makes Jeff McDowall CA CFO
Jeff McDowall has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Air New Zealand, where he has held a range of roles - including Group General Manager Corporate Finance - since joining the company in 2000. Jeff's career includes three years with Mobil Oil in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and management consultant roles with PwC in New Zealand, Singapore and the United States.

ASB Bank has appointed Vittoria Shortt CA Chief Executive. Vittoria has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions with Deloitte and Carter Holt Harvey and has held various senior leadership positions with ASB’s parent company, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, including as Group Executive of Marketing and Strategy.

Staples Rodway has announced two key promotions among its senior staff – Sachin Patel CA and Kaison Chang CA have both been named Directors in the Auckland office, less than 18 months after their promotion to Associate Director.
Sachin Patel is an Audit and Assurance Director, specialising in auditing, financial reporting and consulting services. His clients include listed businesses across a wide range of sectors such as property, ICT, retirement and manufacturing, and he also has experience working with Staples Rodway affiliates in Australia.
Kaison is a business advisory specialist, providing business advice to companies, trusts and high net worth individuals. He has a passion for the property sector and in helping new ventures grow strategically. He is also member of the Auckland CA ANZ Local Leadership Team.
Jannine Mountford CA new CFO of Methven
Jannine Mountford CA has been appointed Group Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of leading shower and tap ware designer Methven Limited.
Jannine's experience includes CFO and COO roles with the New Zealand Rugby Union, Fletcher Building and Hynds Pipe Systems. Jannine served on the CA ANZ Council from 2014 to 2016.
Alexandra Barton CA joins Marlborough boards
Alexandra Barton CA has been appointed to the boards of MDC Holdings Ltd and Marlborough Airport Ltd. Alexandra is currently director of accounting firm Leslie & O'Donnell, and her previously held roles include several years with Air New Zealand.
