NSW Regional Chair Update September 2018

As Chair of NSW Regional Council I was pleased to see the interest and engagement of members who have nominated for the Council elections. This year we have seven members nominating for the three positions. Regional Councils play a very important role in the governance structure of CA ANZ, representing the member voice.

We are reviewing a number of nominations for advancement to Fellow. The outcome of these nominations will be announced later this year.

In September, on behalf of Regional Council I had the opportunity to present to the Board and convey key messages from both the Council and other member feedback. I was joined by the Chair and Vice Chair of the NSW young CAs Panel who provided an update on behalf of the Panel and young members.

NSW elections are now open and members eligible to vote will have received an email from electionz.com with a link and individual details to enable you to vote. electionz.com are the external service provider coordinating the elections on behalf of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Regional Council are your representatives and it is important that you have your say and I encourage you to participate in the voting process.
