- NSW Annual General Meeting
- CA ANZ Toastmasters Group Welcomes new members
- NSW events held and coming up
It is hard to believe that we are about to go into September. The year is disappearing but as ever we have many more member-focused activities and events between now and the end of December.
In NSW we were very pleased to receive over 30 nominations for advancement to Fellowship. The nominations will now progress through the formal review and approval process by NSW Council and the CA ANZ Council. Members will be notified of the outcome in early December, and then in March of 2020 there will be a formal ceremony to acknowledge the new Fellows and present their Fellowship certificates.
This process is one that really highlights the enormous contribution our members make to their communities - professionally and personally.

Do you want to be heard and conquer your fear of public speaking?
There are times in our professional careers where we need to do a formal presentation in front of colleagues, manager, shareholders or clients. Presentations can cause stress and anxiety which is why it’s important to be equipped with the necessary soft skills to perform at our best. At CA ANZ Toastmasters you can learn those skills and more in a safe and friendly environment.
CA ANZ Toastmasters was founded in 2017 for young members and is run by and for CAs. The club is part of Toastmasters International which is a non-profit organisation that teaches public speaking and leadership through the pathways program.
If you’d like to learn more about the Toastmasters program the group would welcome you. They meet every second Wednesday at the CA ANZ offices, 33 Erskine Street, Sydney.
If you have any queries or would like to attend please contact Daniel Tello.Email us about the Toastmasters Group
NSW Certificate Presentation Ceremony
We were very pleased to host the presentation ceremony for new members and CA Program Merit Award recipients on the 1 August and welcomed guest speaker Joshua Robb CA, local committee chair from our Newcastle Hunter region. Joshua gave a very engaging presentation on his career; the goals he had set and attained, and underpinning it all was the great value of the CA designation.
We had over 495 members and guests attend, and I would also like to congratulate the new members and award recipients who were unable to attend.
It is very important to NSW Council and the NSW team that we provide events which are interesting and relevant to our members. We take on board feedback we receive from engagement with members and we seek input from member panels and committees.
We welcome your views on topics and opportunities of interest.
