Rodger Finlay FCA heads Provincial Growth Fund’s Independent Advisory Panel

Rodger Finlay FCA has been appointed Chairperson of the Provincial Growth Fund’s Independent Advisory Panel.

The $3 billion PGF was launched last month to grow New Zealand’s regional areas and economies. The Independent Advisory Panel will assist with advice and decision making.

Rodger joins the panel after spending the past decade working in governance. He’s Chairman of Mundane Asset Management, a Director of NZ Thoroughbred Racing, Deputy Chairman of Rural Equities Limited and a Governor of Radio NZ.

Joanna Perry FCA appointed independent chair at Oyster Property Group

Property and funds manager Oyster Property Group has appointed experienced company director Joanna Perry FCA as the group’s first independent chair.

During her career, Joanna has been appointed to a number of high profile boards in both chair and non-executive director roles. She is currently chair of the London-based IFRS Advisory Council, is deputy chair of Regional Facilities Auckland and sits as an independent director on the boards of Genesis Energy, Trade Me and Partners Life.

Human Resources Institute appointment for Baubre Murray FCA

The Human Resources Institute of New Zealand has appointed Baubre Murray FCA as an independent director.

She joins the board after a long career running a successful Chartered Accountancy firm, Dowse Murray Chartered Accountants. Her expertise and experience in risk, finance and audit for other not-for-profit organisations, along with her governance experience with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) during the merger of the Australian and New Zealand organisations will be invaluable to HRINZ.

Andrew Dickeson CA named Auckland Chair of Staples Rodway

Andrew Dickeson CA has been appointed Auckland Chairperson of Staples Rodway Limited.

Andrew has more than two decades worth of experience working in New Zealand’s tax industry. He joined the accounting and business advisory firm in 2006.

CAs named BDO Northland associates

Greg Atkins CA and Hayden Keast CA have been appointed associates at BDO Northland.

Greg joins BDO after two decades working for major accounting firms and is Chairman of Whangarei Boys’ High School.

Hayden joined BDO Northland three years ago after working for Big 4 firms.
