Lyn Provost FCA patron of Transparency International New Zealand

Lyn Provost FCA has accepted a three-year term as patron of Transparency International New Zealand. Lyn is a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit and was the Controller and Auditor General of New Zealand from 2009 to 2017. She has held positions in private sector auditing firms in London and South Africa, and senior public sector roles in the State Services Commission and Archives New Zealand.  Lyn was Deputy Commissioner of the New Zealand Police for eight years.

Lyn was the audit director on the world’s first set of accrual financial statements produced by a government.

Michael Stiassny FCA appointed Chair of New Zealand Transport Agency Board

Transport Minister Phil Twyford has appointed Michael Stiassny FCA as Chair of the New Zealand Transport Agency Board for a term of three years commencing on 19 April 2018. Michael has a strong background in public and private directorships, and is the current Chair of Vector, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Whai Rawa Limited and Tower Limited.

Alex Davidson CA appointed tax specialist for Crowe Horwath

Alex Davidson CA has been appointed Tax Specialist for Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough, for the region’s largest business advisory and accountancy firm, Crowe Horwath. Alex has 19 years of experience in accounting, commercial and teaching roles, and has specialised in tax for the last 11 years.
