Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Rick Ellis will not be putting himself forward to extend his role as CEO past mid next year when his contract finishes.
During his tenure as CEO, Rick oversaw a strategic review which has underpinned an ambitious vision for the future of the accounting profession and CA ANZ.
The review began with extensive engagement with members to shape CA ANZ’s strategy and priorities.
Rick described progress since the review as “highly energising” and highlighted the implementation and delivery of a number of critical initiatives for members, including CA Catalyst, My CA, LinkedIn Learning, the establishment of the Member Support Team and the reform of the CA Program.
Rick joined CA ANZ as CEO in August 2017. He is a seasoned CEO with more than 30 years of trans-Tasman leadership experience across a number of industries including IT, aviation, telecommunications, media and the cultural sector. He has a background in transformation and customer centricity.
