Glennda Scully FCA received a rare Meritorious Service Award at a lunch on 27 September attended by her family, friends, colleagues and members.
Nominees for Meritorious Service are selected for their outstanding achievements and continued contributions to the profession and their communities.
Glennda has held the positions of professor, member on the Curtin Council, and head of the School of Accounting at Curtin University.
She currently is Director of Finance, Infrastructure and Digital Technology at Catholic Education Western Australia, and has been involved with Catholic Education for more than nine years as commissioner and heading the finance committee.
She has also been a member of the finance council for the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth for the past seven years and has also been a board member and valued contributor to MercyCare over the past eight years.
Glennda has been a huge contributor to CA ANZ, representing WA members on the Trans-Tasman Audit Advisory Committee for eight years and as an active member of the WA Council, assuming the role of State Chair in 2016.
During her Chairmanship, Glennda was instrumental in the founding of Financial Toolbox, and in securing a lasting partnership between this organisation and CA ANZ.
The vision of Financial Toolbox is to empower women to build financial knowledge and skills to give them independence and freedom of choice throughout their lives. Glennda was a founder, inaugural
board member and a member of the finance committee.
The lovely afternoon celebrated the dedication and hard work of this fantastic member and great friend of the Perth office and CA ANZ team and we congratulate her again on her dedication and service.
