Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and UK Councils’ election results

The establishment of the four Overseas Regional Councils was approved as part of the 2019 Member Vote.

In brief

  • Six elected positions on the new Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and United Kingdom Overseas Regional Councils have been filled
  • The councils will act as a link between the CA ANZ Board and local members

The six elected positions on the new Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and United Kingdom Overseas Regional Councils have been filled following elections held between 27 September to 18 October 2019.

These Overseas Regional Councils will comprise six elected Councillors and three appointed.

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand President Stephen Walker congratulated the new council members. “The councils are strong groups of members and they will serve their local members very well, acting as a link between the CA ANZ Board and their local members.”

CA ANZ members in each of the four regions took part in the council vote.

Voter returns averaged 11.55 percent of eligible voters across the four regions.

Applications for three appointed councillors in each of the four overseas regions will be selected by the Councillors-elect based on each council’s selection criteria. Results will be announced in early December via the CA ANZ website.
