- Naomi Walsh has been appointed as Vice President for Australia
- Grant Ellis FCA will serve another year as Vice President for New Zealand
CA ANZ Chair John Palermo congratulates Tinashe, Naomi and Grant, and thanks outgoing 2023 President Murray Harrington FCA for his leadership and strong member voice into the Board, not only during the 12 months of his presidency, but over many years of service to CA ANZ’s membership and governance bodies.
“Murray has been a pragmatic and measured voice for our membership, and we’ve greatly appreciated his perspective and energy, not just during his presidency, but throughout his seven years of service to CA ANZ.
“He has been a strong voice on why our profession is an attractive choice for the next generation of talent – in particular, pointing to the important role accountants and auditors play in transitioning our planet to a more sustainable future.
“Murray also actively engaged with our membership to obtain support for the recommendations that came from the Professional Conduct Review. These changes mean we can further evolve our conduct and disciplinary framework, so it can deal more effectively with the contemporary issues we see today.
“On behalf of our board and councils, as well as the entire membership, I would like to thank Murray for his commitment and energy during what has been a challenging year for our profession.
“Congratulations to Tinashe Kamangira on being elected president and Grant and Naomi vice-presidents for 2024. Tinashe has been a strong advocate for our members as part of the Western Australia Regional Council and CA ANZ Council, and I have no doubt he will continue to drive member focus and value in everything we do throughout the coming year.”
