ACCA joins WCOA as a gold sponsor
CA ANZ and CPA Australia will co-host World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) on 5-8 November, which is returning to Sydney for the first time in 46 years.
The theme for Congress is ‘Global Challenges, Global Leaders.’ We are proud to announce that ACCA is a Gold Sponsor of WCOA and will play an essential role in making the event a success.
Held against the backdrop of a rapidly changing economic and political landscape, WCOA will address the future direction of our profession. For example, our robotics research that is being developed as part of an alliance initiative with KPMG (see information below), will be featured at WCOA.

Teams co-located across strategic markets
We have co-located CA ANZ and ACCA teams in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and the UK.
Co-location enables our organisations to collaborate and take advantage of the operational efficiencies that come with sharing office space. Also, leveraging the strength of our organisations in various markets will enable us to better serve our members locally and abroad.

Collaborating on research
Collaborating on research allows our organisations to achieve additional member reach, deeper insights and ultimately benefit the profession.
We have teamed up with ACCA for several research initiatives including a joint survey with International Federation of Accountants (IFA) titled: “G20 Public Trust in Tax”, and research into robotic process automation (RPA), which we are undertaking with KPMG.
RPA is software that can be easily programmed to perform basic tasks and move information across applications just as human workers would. As part of this research, we are surveying Chartered Accountants with experience or knowledge of RPA across some global markets.
