Congratulations to our newest Fellows from Western Australia

On Thursday 25th May, our WA-based Fellows got together to celebrate those who received Fellowships at the end of 2022.

WA Fellowship Recipients at WA Fellowship Dinner 2023

The dinner began with an acknowledgement of country, followed by an introduction and welcome from WA Manager Aymee Mastaglia. She acknowledged and congratulated the 14 WA-based Fellowship recipients, as well as their and special guests present. Vivian Wang CA, WA State Chair then gave the room an update on CA ANZ activities at the Trans-Tasman and local level.

Each Fellow was then introduced to the room, either by their nominator or by a special guest, and welcomed onstage to receive their Fellowship award.

To be considered for a Fellowship, a Chartered Accountant must be nominated by their peers. All nominations are reviewed and considered by the local State or Regional Council, and those endorsed are progressed to the CA ANZ Council for final approval. A Fellowship recognises members’ outstanding achievement in, and contribution to, the profession of accounting. On top of this, a fellowship recognises the members’ services to the business world, and to the wider community for the public good, usually in addition to their day-to-day roles.

Fellows and guests had the opportunity to network and to catch up and reconnect with each other over a three-course meal and accompanying beverages, looking out over the beautiful Swan River and the lights of Perth from the comfort of the State Reception Centre. Finally, a toast was proposed to all new Fellows and new Fellow Kym Carmody FCA responded on behalf of the group.

We congratulate all our new Fellows on being recognised for their achievement to the profession and hope that they and their guests enjoyed the evening.
