Read the following media release issued by the Shadow Treasurer, The Hon Angus Taylor MP, the Hon Luke Howarth MP, Shadow Assistant Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Financial Services and Shadow Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury, Senator Dean Smith.
Over the next two days, Ainslie and Simon will continue to meet with the opposition and crossbench, to reiterate our already ongoing advocacy to the government on this issue. We will keep members informed as developments happen.
The discussions reiterate our concerns with the Determination, including sections 15 (‘dobbing in’ clients and lack of consultation) and 45 (disclosure of health issues and current investigations), and engaging support to disallow the Determination in the Senate.
