Once again it has been a busy month for the Central North Island team, one of the stand out events being the 2019 Bay of Plenty Gala Dinner,  held at the Blue Baths venue in Rotorua on the 16th August. We celebrated the achievements  of; 16 new members, 3 milestone recipients  - Mike Martin, John Cronin and Owen O’Connor, as well as 3 Fellowship certificate presentations for Mervyn Dallas FCA, Graham Naylor FCA and Donna Smit FCA.  

A reminder that applications for the 2019 The Gisborne Financial Assistance Fund are open now. If you know of anyone in the Gisborne/East Coast region considering a career in accounting or have already embarked on their pathway, they could be eligible for a grant of up to $3,000 towards their study.

Bay of Plenty 2019 Gala Dinner

On Friday 16 August we held the 2019 Bay of Plenty Gala Dinner at the stunning Blue Baths venue in Government Gardens, Rotorua. We were joined by a crowd of 130 to celebrate our newest members, milestone achievements of 40, 50 and 60 years, as well as three new Bay of Plenty Fellows. It was a great night of celebrating the success and achievement with our members, their friends and family.

Automation in Practice Management with CA Catalyst

On Thursday 8 August we were joined by over 40 local members for a workshop that aimed to empower members to make informed changes in their firms, and help them embrace innovation, automation, technology and a streamlined workflow.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn from experts advanced on their journey sharing real experiences of adopting automation in transaction processing, compliance and advisory, and overall practice workflow. There were some fantastic in depth conversations had in the small breakout groups later in the workshop.

Hawke’s Bay Gala Dinner – 4 September

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand is thrilled to host a special gala dinner to celebrate the achievements of our local member's.  This event is a highlight in our Hawke's Bay calendar. and we welcome family, friends, colleagues and CA ANZ comrades.

The special occasion will include the presentation of certificates to:

  • New members who have been admitted to the organisation
  • Milestone Members attaining 25, 40, 50 and 60 years with the organisation
  • We are also honoured to celebrate the Conferment of 2018 Hawke's Bay Fellows - John Dixon, Peter Hensman and Roger Hooker.

Leadership Lessons from our FellowsEach year CA ANZ recognises outstanding achievement and contribution to the profession of accountancy by awarding Fellowships to individual members.Join us for this panel discussion with four of our Bay of Plenty Fellows who will share leadership challenges, insights and personal experiences from their career journey. Our facilitator Karin Copestake CA, will explore this topic with our panel of experts.

Creating a Better Waikato for Everyone, Forever with Momentum Waikato  - 12 September
