The President’s Prize recognises a member under the age of 35, who has made a significant contribution to the profession and the community. The winner is chosen from the Young Regional Advocates selected by their respective Regional Councils and Overseas Committees.

This year Josh Hickford CA, from Taranaki, has been nominated. Josh sits on the Taranaki Local Leadership Team, he is a strong advocate for CA ANZ and the accounting profession.

He embodies the spirit of what the President’s Award represents, and importantly is an example for others to follow and be inspired by.

New Zealand Regional Council and Local Leadership Team Elections 2019

Voting for our Regional Council and Local Leadership Team Elections concluded on 31 October.

Congratulations to Sarah Walker CA, from Hawke's Bay, and Natasha Harvey CA, from Waikato, for being elected onto the NZ Council and representing our region.

All regions LLT’s were elected into place as proposed, full results can be found here.

In the lead up to the silly season our busy lives seem to get much busier. As we near the end of the year it is important we continue to look after ourselves as we do our clients. CA ANZ has recently launched a mental health guide in collaboration with Counties Manukau Health. The guide addresses the link between mental health problems and financial difficulty, the impact of stigma, how to support clients and communication tips. It also has New Zealand specific guidelines and contacts to utilise to seek help.

The guide can be found here.
