Message from the Regional Manager

A big welcome to the region’s 29 new members to the designations of Chartered Accountants ANZ being 1 x ACA, 7 x AT’s, 21 x CA’s.   We look forward to celebrating these in the coming months.  

World Congress Of Accountants

 An important date in our calendar is the World Congress of Accountants (WCOA) in Sydney 5-8 November, which is the premier accounting conference for the global business and finance community.  Held for the first time in 47 years in our region, the program will include  interactive learning opportunities, future-focused content and collaborative "connection" hubs. Explore the WCOA program, sessions and speakers line up.   

Chartered Accountants ANZ issues AML/CFT Guidance

CA ANZ has prepared a number of tools, resources and training to help you prepare for the AML/CFT regime. Links to these can be found on our dedicated webpage.  As part of the "how to" guides we have developed for members, we have prepared an illustrative risk assessment and an illustrative AML/CFT programme. 

Mentor Exchange – Now Open

The 2018 Mentor Exchange programme connects the skills and knowledge of our experienced members with CAs whom are starting out in their career. For our new members, Mentor Exchange is a great opportunity to build professional networks and gain valuable insights from experienced CAs. Taranaki AML/CFT Phase 2 is Coming: What do you need to do to be prepared?

On Tuesday 31 July Taranaki members found out more about AML/CFT, how it's likely to impact their practice and what they need to do to be prepared when legislation takes effect on 1 October 2018.

Inspiring Breakfast with Gilbert Enoka Live Webcast

Thursday 30 August, 7.30-9am Hamilton

Join us for a breakfast watching a live tebcast with Gilbert Enoka.  He has been with the All Blacks for more than 200 tests and during that time the team won back-to-back Rugby World Cups, one Laureus Award (for the best team in the world), 14 Bledisloe Cups, three Grand Slams, seven Tri Nations and five Rugby Championships. Gilbert had a pivotal role in the comeback from the All Blacks 2007 World Cup quarterfinal loss to the French in Cardiff, through to their record-breaking Rugby World Cup triumph at Twickenham in 2015.
