Message from the Regional Manager:

A big welcome to the Region's 13 new members to the designations of Chartered Accountants ANZ being;  Jessica Munro CA, Katrina Wicks AT, Julianne Dew AT, Hayley Lougher CA, Lisa Richards CA, Sarah Banks CA, Julaina Dick AT, Erica Ferreira Guido AT, Beverley Crawford CA, Cherie Miller AT, James O'Brien CA, Olena Frandi AT and Weili Li CA. Congratulations, we look forward to celebrating with you in the coming months.

We have had a great start to the 2019 in the Central North Island Team, one of the many highlights so far being the Central North Island Regional Conference held in the Hamilton Gardens on the 27th February. It was great to catch up with many of our local members and hear from some inspiring speakers. We had 150 delegates join us for the morning and a further 200 for the Business Summit in the afternoon. We heard from speakers providing insights into resilience, transformational leadership, embracing the future of work and creating a brand.

It was fantastic to bring over 300 members over 8 locations; Hamilton, New Plymouth, Tauranga, Rotorua, Whakatane, Napier, Gisborne and Taupo on International Women's day who came together to celebrate this year's theme #balanceforbetter. Seeing our members participate in the  conversations live at the events and ongoing social media channels was encouraging.

If your looking for great professional development content, we are thrilled to be able to provide up  to 20 hours of complimentary CPD.

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand co-hosted the 2018 World Congress of Accountants (WCOA). Attracting over 5,500 delegates from over 115 countries, WCOA saw many exceptional presentations and sessions with an overarching theme of accountability.

CA ANZ is pleased to offer our members up to 20 hours of complimentary WCOA on-demand CPD content. Complimentary access to this content is available until 31 July 2019.

Bay of Plenty - Culture – Why successful brands are built from the inside out – 16 April 2019

A brand is not what you say it is, it's what your customer says it is.

While this statement is true and we should all spend a lot of our time and money understanding our customer. We can sometimes not realise that one of the biggest ways to delight, surprise and retain our customer is by the experience our people give. If the experience is broken then you probably won't have a customer. And we all need customers in order for our business to succeed.

So in order to create a successful brand that is customer-centric, start by looking on the inside.

Come and hear from Reuben Woods of WOODS Agency discuss this very topical subject.
