Jennifer Whooley CA (Auckland) has won the highest honour at the 2018 New Zealand CFO Awards.
The highly experienced CFO of Stride Property Group in Auckland, Jennifer Whooley CA, was named New Zealand’s CFO of the year.
The category was highly competitive, with Keith Longden CA (Christchurch) and Steward Brooks CA (Auckland) also named as finalists.
CAs also dominated the finalists in the Emerging Financial Manager of the Year category – with Hannah Howard CA (Auckland), Financial Controller of My Food Bag, named the winner.
Leon Delowe CA (Auckland) and Chris Argyle CA (Wellington) were also finalists.
Dame Alison Paterson FCA received recognition for her lifetime of achievement and remarkable commitment to excellence in finance with the Contribution to Business and Finance Award.
Peter Vial, New Zealand Country Head of CA ANZ, said the results were further proof of the outstanding contribution made by CAs across the country.
“I want to congratulate our three members who were winners and our many finalists - and thank them for the wonderful work they do.
“CA ANZ is extremely proud that our members have had such strong recognition. For the first time in the event’s history, women have taken out all the major individual awards.
“This is also the first time a woman has received the CFO of the Year award. The judges said Jennifer Whooley CA stood out for her innovative solutions to complex problems.
“It’s fantastic to see our members receive these honours – they make a vital contribution to business and finance.
