Join CA ANZ’s Trans-Tasman Sustainability Management Advisory Committee

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) is seeking expressions of interest from members that have expertise/specialty in sustainability, to either fill a current vacancy on our Trans-Tasman Sustainability Management Advisory Committee or be a key CA ANZ sustainability stakeholder.

Members on the Trans-Tasman Sustainability Management Advisory Committee act as advisers to CA ANZ on policy positions, submissions, advocacy approaches and assist with engagement of other members on issues relating to sustainability. 
 
We are particularly interested in expressions of interest from Chartered Accountant members with expertise and interest in the following areas:

  • Corporate sustainability including disclosures and industry experience
  • Sustainability disclosures – including climate and nature
  • We will also consider and are interested in having diversity of sectors, AU/NZ regions, and views within the Committee composition.

Commitment and recognition

If you are interested in being a member of the Trans-Tasman Sustainability Management Advisory Committee or alternatively a key sustainability stakeholder, please outline this in your Expression of Interest.

To fill current vacancies on the Trans-Tasman Sustainability Management Advisory Committee, we are seeking CA members for an initial term of up to 2 years, with scope to extend their terms.

The Trans-Tasman Sustainability Management Advisory Committee is an energetic, diverse group of Difference Makers with a passion for representing members and shaping the profession of the future.

Examples of advice or feedback CA ANZ may request include:

  • Identify and provide information on sustainability matters of relevance to CA ANZ members 
  • Provide feedback, commentary, advice, and act as sounding board on policy and advocacy matters in relation to climate change, sustainability and non-financial reporting 
  • Assist CA ANZ activities in relation to specific initiatives including thought leadership for CA ANZ members and other stakeholders 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of CA ANZ’s strategy and policies on climate change and sustainability. The committee may also be requested to assist with other subject matters that relate to sustainability

Members of the Trans-Tasman Sustainability Management Advisory Committee will engage as a CA ANZ member in their own right (not a representative of an organisation) and will be acknowledged as such on the CA ANZ website. Committee members and can promote their membership in their professional profiling.

The expressions of interest period to join the Trans-Tasman Sustainability Management Advisory Committee has now closed.
