The CA ANZ Council expressed its deepest gratitude to outgoing President Stephen Walker FCA for his service in 2019.

Rupp, an audit partner at Deloitte, served as CA ANZ Vice President for two years before being elected as the incoming President.

He has worked in the accounting profession for more than 25 years, with stints at Deloitte's offices in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

Connectivity of the membership is at the heart of what Rupp is passionate about, saying it's important for CAs to support each other.

He says "the strength of our membership is the power of our collective voice when we work together."

He is also particularly interested in new technologies and how we can ensure our younger members are set up to succeed as the business leaders of the future.

O'Regan, based in Mount Isa in north west Queensland, has over 25 years' experience in advising businesses on accounting and taxation strategies, business growth and succession, finance and restructuring.

He was previously Chair of CA ANZ's Queensland Regional Council and presently serves as a director of a Western Queensland public company and is a member of a number of Audit Committees for local governments in Queensland.
