Owain Stone manages the Melbourne KordaMentha Forensic team and has over thirty years' experience in a wide range of forensic accounting projects. He was previously the Oceania Head of Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services for Ernst & Young, managing a team of over fifty across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. Prior to that Owain worked for Andersen in Melbourne (1997-2002), Singapore (1990-1997) and London (1984-1990).
Owain's recent experience includes providing expert witness related forensic accounting services such as the preparation of expert reports, as well as giving oral testimony in the Australian Federal Court, the Supreme Court and County Court of Victoria, the High Court of Singapore, the Supreme Court of Vanuatu and arbitrations in Australia, Hong Kong and USA.
Owain has provided numerous expert witness, expert determination, Special Referee and consulting expert reports in respect of various matters, including: breach of contract, tort, purchase price dispute, forensic accounting investigations, and intellectual property breaches.
Owain is also the immediate past national chair of the CA ANZ Forensic Accounting Committee.
