Business Briefs: Building Digital Stories Through Social Media - 14 August
In our latest session of Business Briefs we heard from Tom Reidy, Head of Social Media and Digital Innovation at TAG The Agency. Tom shared his insights on how a brand can tell a story through the use of social media, and how it can be used to grow your business and reach your target audience. We had a great turnout with more than 200 people registered both in person and online.
Launch of Capability Audit Report with Hon. Grant Robertson, Minister of Finance, Sports and Recreation - 22 August
In conjunction with The Superdiversity Centre for Law, Policy and Business, CA ANZ hosted the launch of the Diversity Think(ing) Tank and its Diverse Thinking Capability Audit of New Zealand Board Rooms. The Honourable Grant Robertson, Minister of Finance, launched the Capability Audit report. We also heard key wisdom from top directors interviewed about why diverse thinking matters and how best to improve such thinking in New Zealand board rooms. Mai Chen also presented on new tools to measure and to grow diverse thinking in the board room.
Inspiring Breakfast Series: Gilbert Enoka - 30 August
Gilbert Enoka, who is an internationally renowned mental skills coach and current manager of the All Blacks, spoke to more than 450 CA members and non-members in person and via a webcast. Gilbert has been with the All Blacks for more than 200 tests and during that time he has been part of a team that has come back from a devastating quarter final loss to rebuild the team culture. The team now boasts back-to-back Rugby World Cups, one Laureus Award, 13 Bledisloe Cups, three Grand Slams, seven Tri Nations and four Rugby Championships and Gilbert's success with the All Blacks continues. He spoke to the audience about leadership, building thriving cultures, performing under pressure and mental management. His talk was highly rated by those who attended.
The British New Zealand Business Association invite CA ANZ members to hear Andrew Barnes speak on "The 4 Day Week Initiative" - 14 September
When BNZBA member Andrew Barnes embarked on a trial of a four day work week with his 240 staff at Perpetual Guardian, he could not have anticipated the global attention and coverage it would generate. The British New Zealand Business Association is holding an event on 14 September, which will be the first public event where attendees can hear directly from Andrew and have the opportunity to quiz him about any aspect they would like to find more about.
