Future[inc]: The Future of Trust, 7 May 2019

On Tuesday, 7 May we hosted the Auckland launch of the latest future[inc] Thought Leadership paper. The paper The Future of Trust was prepared by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand with the assistance of Dr Lisa Marriott. Lisa Marriot gave a keynote presentation on the key findings from the paper. Lisa was then joined by Lisa Jacobs, CEO, Anthony Harper and Richard Jarret, Deputy CIO, Westpac New Zealand where the panel, facilitated by John Cuthbertson, NZ Tax & Financial Services Leader for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. The event was attended by members and non-members both at our Auckland Conference Centre and online.

Auckland New Members Ceremony, 16 May 2019

On Thursday, 16 May, our newest members who had obtained their ACA, AT and CA designations, attended the Auckland New Members Ceremony at The Cordis Hotel and celebrated their achievement with friends, family and peers. Stephen Walker FCA, Chartered Accountants ANZ President attended the event to present the certificates to our new members. We also heard from Priya Singh, CA, who shared her career journey and provided inspiration around being a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and what this meant for her and the opportunities it has created. It was a great night of celebration with almost 156 new members and over 250 guests.  We look forward to supporting them as members who make a positive difference in the communities in which they work and live.

Inspiring Breakfast with Cam Calkoen, 23 May

Cam’s Calkoen session, Attitude makes the Difference, was held in high regard by those who attended our breakfast event on Thursday 23 May. Cam shared strategies on how we can start to incorporate his motto into our lives: Dream Big Achieve More. Cam is an energetic and motivational speaker and with his totally unique approach he was a fresh hit of adrenalin and gave our members some great insights into to rising each morning with the inner strength to embrace their lives, jobs and wellbeing. The event was attended by members and non-members both at our Auckland Conference Centre and online.

Transformation Workshop Series: Business of the future, 29 May

On 29 May we hosted the next instalment in our Transformation Workshop Series. Speakers joined us from across the globe to talk to our members about Employee Engagement, Agile Strategy, Leading teams through change and Organisational culture to support change. This event asked our audience to think about what differentiates them from their competitors. And what they can do to remain relevant in a world that is being disrupted at exponential rates. The event was attended by members and non-members both at our Auckland Conference Centre and online.

Milestone, 25 July 2019

This is an opportunity to celebrate your achievement with other Auckland members reaching their 25, 40, 50, 60 and 70 years of membership in 2019. We invite you to celebrate with friends, family and colleagues. This lunch will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect and celebrate with your peers and colleagues at Eden Park venue. Stephen Walker FCA, Chartered Accountants ANZ president will be attending the event to present the certificates to our milestone members.

Auckland Presidents, 25 July 2019

Senior members and invited guests will celebrate their achievements at our annual Auckland Presidential Gala Dinner, being held at Eden Park this year.

The evening will include an Awards Ceremony and entertainment. Fellows will celebrate with invited guests, family, colleagues and friends as we recognise the significant contribution they have all made to the profession.
