She is a regular panellist on TV3's AM Show. Catherine is renowned for helping you think differently when it comes to courageous, innovative approaches.

PICAN - The Future of People – Building your foundation to ensure you have a long and healthy career, 14 August 2019 (PM)
On Wednesday the 14 August our PICAN members gathered in Newmarket to hear about the future of people.
The 'future of work' is often mentioned in reference to the change technology will bring to the workplace and the changing face of the workforce. Although this is true for many organisations, the 'future of people' is equally important. Whether you are in practice, a public benefit entity or a commercial operation, we would all agree that our people are our most significant assets.
Those attending heard from Dr Monique Faleafa, DClinPsy MNZM, CEO Le Va and Wayne Tukiri FCA, Associate Director – Audit and People, RSM.
Change Without Fear, The Science of Being Resilient Through Times of Change, Innovation and Disruption, 14 August 2019 (AM)
In today's world and within the finance sector we need to ensure that we have the skills to remain resilient and adaptable especially given the current rate of change.
Marty Wilson spoke to over 250 of our members at our Chartered Accountants ANZ Auckland Conference Centre and also via webcast. Our audience was treated to a hilarious keynote which had the perfect blend of science and funny stories to explain why we get so scared of new things in the first place, and how we can use humour to stay light, and embrace change in a powerful but user-friendly way.

Auckland CA Induction, Tuesday 3 September
The Auckland CA induction for term 3 2019 will be held on Tuesday 3 September. The event is a great opportunity for our newest CA candidates to put their networking skills into practice in a relaxed environment whilst meeting fellow candidates also commencing their Chartered Accountants journey. The event will see presentations from Andrew Slessor (Module Leader), Christine McKinnon (Careers Engagement), Nicole Clark (CA Representative) and Kim Daji from William Buck speaking on Resilience.
Public Practice Update

This session is specifically geared for small and medium practice and aims to equip you with knowledge and tools to future proof your Practice. The event will see presentations from Christine McKinnon (Careers Engagement), Sabina Pereira (Careers Engagement), Bernadette Tamihere (NZ Quality Assurance Manager), John Cuthbertson (Taxation Advocate; NZ Tax & Financial Services Leader), Jeanette Ross-Smith (Regional Manager (Acting) and Robynne Mills (Senior Relationship Manager).
Achiever Programme 2019 – 2 & 9 September 2019
We're all about forging connections at Chartered Accountants ANZ and here's a great example of how we bring that to life. Our 2019 Achiever Programme is a fantastic initiative that connects future members with outstanding employers for paid employment opportunities during the university summer break.
On 4 and 5 September, over 80 students will come together in Auckland to meet with over 20 business professionals and participate in the Achiever Centre. This half day workshop will test the students on a range of academic and personal skills. The business professionals are given the opportunity to assess the students and see how they performed individually and in a group environment. This event opens pathways for the partnered employers and the CA Careers Engagement team to match the best and brightest applicants to the roles on offer.
Northland Gala Event – 25 September 2019
The Northland Gala Event for 2019 is being held at the Whangarei Cricket Club and will celebrate Northlands newest members, milestone members and three fellows of Chartered Accountants.
The members, along with their friends, families and peers will enjoy a dinner while celebrating these significant achievements with CA ANZ staff, Northland LLT members and President Stephen Walker FCA.
