During International Women’s Day week, the Launceston Chamber of Commerce and Launceston Women in Business featured some of Launceston’s inspirational women in a panel discussion.  

The theme for International Women’s Day 2023 was “Embrace Equity”. The event was a chance to recognise the social, cultural, and political achievements of women, and celebrate the achievements of women, raise awareness against bias and progress from equality to equity. 

Some of the themes discussed by the panel included challenging gender stereotypes, calling out discrimination, drawing attention to bias and seeking out inclusion. The panel also talked about challenges faced every day by female leaders.
