Australia’s best and brightest experts in self-managed super funds (SMSFs) will be sharing their knowledge with accounting professionals at the National SMSF Conference in September.
Hosted by the Chartered Accountants ANZ (CA ANZ), the two-day conference will attract hundreds of delegates from around the country, keen to develop their technical knowledge and practical skills.
The event will welcome more than 29 expert speakers covering a range of topics over 28 sessions.
Tony Negline, Superannuation Leader at CA ANZ said the conference would give professionals the chance to hear from Australia’s leading experts and have their pressing questions answered.
“This is a great opportunity for professionals in the superannuation field to hear from leading experts at a really critical time when the industry is experiencing a lot of changes,” Negline said.
“This conference will focus on equipping professionals with strategies and tools that will allow them to advise their clients with confidence and accuracy in a rapidly changing industry.
“We are really pleased to have the experts from the ATO and from the leading SMSF businesses on hand to talk about changes that will have wide reaching impacts on professionals and clients.
“Those in the sector will know how frequent regulatory changes have become and we can expect this to increasingly become the norm, so events like this are important to staying up to date.
“Sessions will include a presentation from the ATO on what the regulator is focusing on as well as, an industry run down from one of the leading authorities in SMSF.
“As with any specialized field, networking opportunities can be far and few in between so it is a great chance for professionals to meet each other, share know-how and grow their networks.
“For the first time, we will have specialized sessions for SMSF administrators, SMSF auditors and financial planners, not just SMSF practitioners.
“More Australians are choosing to manage their own super, so we invite anyone with a keen interest in SMSFs who wants to learn the latest to register.”
The National SMSF Conference will be held at the Crown Promenade in Melbourne from Tuesday 18 to Wednesday 19 September 2018.
