Answer your frequently asked questions regarding the new quarterly payment options

How do I opt-in for quarterly payments?

Members will be able to select either direct-debit quarterly payments or continue to make full-upfront payment as they step through the renewal process within My CA. Members wishing to take advantage of the quarterly payment option, must complete their membership renewal by 30 June 2020 AEST.

Please note: Once quarterly payments are selected and set up, you will not be able to make changes around concession (opting in or out). Members will be able to pay their remaining membership fees any time during the quarterly payment period (June 30, 2020 to March 31, 2021) by entering the payment portal and paying each of the quarterly instalment invoices in succession.

When will the quarterly payments be debited?

If you opted for quarterly payments, the first payment will be charged from your nominated card on 30 June 2020. The subsequent quarterly payments will be charged as follows:

  • Second quarterly payment: 30 September 2020;
  • Third quarterly payment: 31 December 2020; and
  • Fourth quarterly payment: 31 March 2021.

Is there a cut-off to opt into quarterly payments?

Yes. You must complete your membership renewal process in full by 21:59 on 30 June 2020 AEST to opt into the quarterly payment option.

Please note: Your first instalment of the quarterly payment option may be deducted on 1 July 2020 if you complete your membership renewal after 7pm, 30 June 2020 AEST.

Can I still pay my fees upfront in full?

Yes, you can still pay your membership subscriptions fees upfront in full if that works better for you. Just login into you're My CA account and make payment in full by 30 June 2020 AEST.

Can you make payments over the phone (quarterly or full-upfront)?

You can make full payment over the phone, however if you choose to take up the quarterly payments, you must complete the membership renewal process (including payment details) within My CA.

How does CA ANZ hold and store my credit card / debit card details?

Your credit card details are processed in E-Way, our trusted, payment gateway. E-Way has the highest level of PCI-DSS, with the same levels of data security as the largest banks in the world. CVV numbers are sent to E-Way and turned into Unique Identifier Tokens for use on the remaining quarterly payments only.

I'm living outside Australia and New Zealand, can I still opt-in for quarterly payments?

Yes, members living outside Australia and New Zealand can opt-in for quarterly payments but will only be available for credit card payments. Currency conversion fees and other charges may apply.

Can I sign-up for direct bank debit instead of using a credit card?

No, we can only accept credit or debit cards powered by Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

How do I update my credit card details if they change?

You can go to the Credit Cards tab in the My Account section in the eStore (store.charteredaccountantsanz.com/ or store.charteredaccountantsanz.co.nz), and amend credit card details. If you have more than one credit card in our system, the system allows you to tick or untick the 'default' option, so that your preferred card can be set as default. Please note that the default credit card will be the one that the next quarterly instalment is debited from.

Am I able to fold-in previous outstanding fees into the quarterly payment option?

No. The quarterly payment option is a direct response to help members with the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
