New Zealand Council Elections 2019

There are a number of groups within the CA ANZ governance structure that represent members in New Zealand, and we’re looking for proactive and enthusiastic members who want to be involved

In brief

  • Each year in New Zealand we have a number of Regional Council positions to fill.
  • For 2019 the main election process will run from August to October.

New Zealand Council – Southern Region position

New Zealand members are represented by a Regional Council comprising 16 members, including three from the South Island.

Nominations are now being sought for one Southern Region Councillor position on the New Zealand Council to commence from 1 January 2020 for a three year term.

Following the close of nominations, if there more than one nomination is received, an election will be held in the Southern region to fill this position. All full CA ANZ members resident in the South Island would be eligible to vote in this election.

Candidates are required to be nominated by two members in their region/or by their Local Committee.

We welcome nominations from all full CA, ACA or AT members. We would especially encourage the nomination of members who represent the diversity of our membership, including Maori, Pasifika and Asian members, members aged under 30, and members in central government, education or not-for-profit sectors, to help us ensure the group is truly representative of our NZ membership. You could expect to commit approx. 75 hours per year to this role across four meetings and other activities. Please access the nomination form below if you are interested in applying, along with the Position Overview for the role.

Nominations open: 27 August 2019
Nominations close: 20 September 2019
